"This property has been nicely restored. We stayed on a Saturday, so it would have been nice to have breakfast Sunday morning. I didn’t sleep great because of the pillows. But, in the morning, I saw firmer ones in the closet. The little coffee station was cute. However, it had no regular coffee. It was all flavored or decaf. I was dying for a regular cup of coffee. "If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub...

"The check in and check out process is very unorthodox but extremely easy and simple. I was a little worried when I went into the office/welcome room to get the key because it smells like cigarettes, but the room itself was perfect. You can tell they are updated rooms and look exactly like the pictures shown. They even have that fresh wood smell which makes the room feel like you’re in a cabin and not just a room. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "

"The room was neat and clean. The lounge had a nice place to sit by the fire as well as a good selection of beer and wine at the bar. You can easily walk into town from here. It’s a short walk with a sidewalk the whole way."

"It’s a motor lodge - we had a nice large room overlooking some of the high peaks . Room is large and you can control the heat. Mattress is firm but not overly so. Nice hairdryer and bathroom in general. Very clean. Carpeted (brown probably a good choice!) - might be useful to have a boot tray this time of year. "

"This property was an excellent stay for us. Right by main street and walkable to most things we wanted to do! Check was easy and everyone was super friendly. We loved how the room had an extra little area for storage since we had our hockey and skating gear with us. It was an excellent addition to the room. Super clean and tidy! We would 10/10 stay here again!"

"The property is dated but it has some charm. Our room was clean. We stayed only one night for the World Cup in ski jumping competition so we chose this hotel because mostly every hotel was booked. There is very limited parking space. But the stuff was very nice. The breakfast was included and good. We might stay here in the future because we value the cleanliness. "
